We're building a team of local people to set up and run The People's Credit Union. Some roles are open to volunteers now, and paid roles will follow once we open.

Lead the founding board and keep the credit union focused on its members.
What you'll do
- Chair board meetings and the Annual General Meeting
- Work with the founder to build the board and plan for authorisation
- Represent the credit union with partners and the regulator

Help the board understand and manage risk, and meet the regulator's rules.
What you'll do
- Lead on risk, compliance and anti-money-laundering policies
- Review how we protect members and their money
- Prepare us for the PRA and FCA authorisation process

- Experience in risk, compliance, audit or financial regulation
- Knowledge of UK financial services is a strong plus

Keep members, staff and the branch safe and welcoming.
What you'll do
- Welcome visitors and keep an eye on the branch during opening hours
- Support staff with cash deliveries and opening and closing
- Respond calmly to incidents and keep simple security records

- A valid SIA licence (Security Guarding or Door Supervision)
- Friendly, calm and professional with the public
- Security or customer-facing experience is a plus
You'll need a current SIA licence and to pass a basic background check.
